Founded in 2018 by Karen MacDonald, a former retail buyer. The brand emerged from her personal quest for accessible and effective natural beauty options. Recognizing a gap in the market, Karen curated a selection of independent brands that prioritize sustainability and ethical practices.

In 2021, Blomma Beauty opened its first physical store in Coal Drops Yard, London, followed by a second location in Gabriels Wharf in 2022.
